straw hats for the races, converse for the rock show,
and i can see that the lime hasn't fallen far from the tree.
billions of bands of bankers bringing bland music to my ears,
the sound of a midlife crisis is a harley engine screaming for attention,
sick of beanbags, never want to see them,
this is not the soundtrack to coffee and chatter.
straw hats for the races, converse for the rock show,
and i can see that the lime hasn't fallen far from the tree
egos replicate the skies that cities' scrape,
mediocrity cannot escape stages built for money's sake,
clear intent on sales cement the lack of individuality and resultant banality,
childish feuds dictate our view by cutting access to the art refusing to play the part, but the cast begins the act.
straw hats for the races, converse for the rock show,
and i can see that the lime hasn't fallen far from the tree.
billions of bands of bankers bringing bland music to my ears,
the sound of a midlife crisis is a harley engine screaming for attention,
sick of beanbags, never want to see them,

Find My Way
02:48
|
|||
it gets more difficult each day to try and hide it away,
but it keeps coming back in waves, don't overwhelm me again,
but i just can't hide away, wasting another day.
gotta find my way, gotta find my way,
but that collar's got a leash and its gonna bring you back.
well i see how things are done, what i'm destined to become,
so i'm breaking out today - gotta find my way.
gotta find my way, gotta find my way,
but that collar's got a leash and its gonna bring you back home,
gotta find my way, gotta find my way,
but that collar's got a leash and its gonna bring you back home.

Indoctrination
01:50
|
|||
the ultimate form of indoctrination:
capitalize on someone's beliefs, then tell them the side effects that are inherited too,
greed, guilt, sins and lies - the trigger of the supper that will be your last,
what started out with some good morals and a better way to live one's life,
has been reckoned as a useful form of control, and is now the basis behind so much corruption and terror.
these words and insights, messages of peace,
have become an institution and a social disease.
what better way to control a population's thoughts than by first taking over what they believe,
after that, they'll fall like dominos.
a torture device, asphyxia death,
has become a symbol that is supposed to protect you.

Scream vs Whisper
04:16
|
|||
your strive for lows, consecutive blows of what you used to be,
this isn't hardcore to me, seems closer to r'n'b,
these trends in production, work like seduction.
attractive facade, but at the heart there's nothing.
this dissonance gives us freedom,
but that cacophony can't end up as the standard,
'cause its that juxtaposition of the scream and the whisper,
that provides the context and insight to the listener.
attractive facade, but at the heart there's nothing.
